A puzzle that is actually the difficulty it says

Most Sudoku sites grade a puzzle by counting how many numbers it starts with. That is a poor guide. A grid with 28 clues can fall apart in four minutes of plain scanning, while another with 32 can stop you dead until you spot a pair.

SudokuPath grades every puzzle by the work it actually takes: the generator solves each grid the way a person would, prices each move by the technique it needs, and only publishes the puzzle if the total lands in the band you asked for. An easy grid can be finished on singles alone. An expert grid will make you find a wing or a fish.

Every puzzle has exactly one answer

Each grid is checked for a unique solution before it reaches your screen, and it is checked again for logical solvability — meaning there is always a next move you can reason out. You never need to guess, and the hint button can always tell you what the next move is and why.

Puzzles are generated in your browser, so there is no waiting on a server and no limit on how many you can play. Your progress, your times and your daily streak are stored on your own device and are never uploaded.

Keyboard and phone, both first class

On a computer, arrow keys move around the grid, 1–9 enter a digit, N switches pencil marks on and off and H asks for a hint. On a phone the number pad sits under the board where your thumb already is, and the grid never scrolls sideways.
