The same puzzle for everybody
Today's grid is derived from today's date, so the puzzle you are solving is the puzzle everyone else is solving. That is what makes a shared time worth comparing — and it means the daily puzzle needs no server and no account to work.
The week gets harder
Monday and Tuesday are easy, the middle of the week is medium, Friday and Saturday are hard, and Sunday is the expert grid. It is a rhythm borrowed from crossword sections, and it gives you somewhere to grow into rather than the same puzzle in a different arrangement every day.

Streaks
Finish the daily puzzle and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day and it starts again. The streak lives in your browser's own storage, which means it is private — and also that clearing your site data will reset it.
Sharing a result
The share button copies a short line of text: the date, your time, your mistakes and how many hints you used. It contains no spoilers, so it is safe to paste anywhere before your friends have played.

Common questions
When does the daily puzzle change?
At midnight in your own time zone. The puzzle is built from the calendar date on your device, so it changes when your date changes.
Can I play yesterday's puzzle?
Yes. Add a date to the address — for example /daily-sudoku/?date=2026-09-01 — and that day's grid is rebuilt exactly as it was.
Does the daily puzzle need an account?
No. Because the grid comes from the date rather than from a database, everyone gets the same puzzle without signing in to anything.
What happens to my streak if I miss a day?
It resets to one the next time you finish a daily puzzle. Your best streak is kept separately, so a missed day does not erase your record.
